We’re kicking off this series with our shop foreman, Rod Kramer!
Q. How long have you worked for St. Louis’ Frank Leta Acura?
A. Since July 15, 1995 (but who’s counting).
Q. What position did you start in, and what position are you in now?
A. I started as a technician. I’m now the shop foreman.
Q. How long have you worked on Acuras?
A. 22 years! 21 of those years with Frank Leta.
Q. What is the coolest experience you’ve had so far while working for Frank Leta?
A. Attending performance driving school for the new NSX.
Q. What is your favorite memory so far while working for Frank Leta?
A. Precision Team parties–thats all I can say.
Q. If the guys in the shop could use three words to describe you, what would they say?
A. I would hope they say I’m honest, fair and funny!
Q. You’re on your lunch break and can eat at any restaurant in St. Louis–where would you go?
Q. What’s your favorite thing to hear from a customer?
A. When they go out of their way to tell us they appreciate us for our work.
Q. What is the biggest surprise or craziest thing you’ve seen when looking under a hood?
A. A boa constrictor snake that was several feet long.
Q. Finish this sentence: “If I wasn’t working on cars for a living, I would be doing…?
A. I’d be a doctor.
Q. What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?
A. I met my wife at Frank Leta!
Q. What is your biggest accomplishment/thing you’re most proud of?
A. My life. I have a good job and a great family.
