- Collision Mitigation Braking System™ – Powered by a combination of radar transmitter and forward-facing camera, the CMBS determines the distance and closing speed of detected objects that lie directly ahead. If you do not take action to reduce speed, the CMBS automatically begins light braking.
- Pedestrian Detection – Pedestrian Detection system is part of CMBS and is used to help detect pedestrians and alerts the driver with audio and visual warnings. It may apply the brakes if needed to help avoid a collision.

- Traffic Jam Assist – Working from a complete stop and low speeds, it helps keep you in your lane with steering assist.
- Traffic Sign Recognition – Traffic sign recognition uses a windshield-mounted camera to detect speed limit signs. When your vehicle passes a posted sign, it can display the speed limit on your dash and the available head-up display.
- Rear Cross Traffic Monitor – Whether backing out of a parking space or onto a busy street, the MDX helps provide assurance by detecting approaching vehicles from either side and alerting you of oncoming traffic.

- Surround-View Camera System – Park with ease thanks to the available Surround-View Camera System. Four exterior cameras together give you a 360° view of the space immediately around the car through the navigation display. Change camera views using the True Touchpad Interface to select the desired view on the center display or on the end of the turn signal lever.
- Low-Speed Braking Control – Low-Speed Braking Control can help bring your MDX to a stop when traveling at low speeds by automatically applying brake pressure when the system determines that either a frontal or rear collision is unavoidable.
- Parking Sensors (Front and Rear) – To lessen the risk of a scratched bumper, the Technology, A-Spec, and Advance Packages include front and rear parking sensors that can detect a close vehicle or surface at the front or rear. When the MDX is very close to a detected obstruction, a beep sounds in the cabin. The beep increases in urgency as you get closer.
